WE’RE BACK!!! After a 2½ year hiatus, the Film Geek Central podcast returns with a whole new project! And we really believe you’re going to have just as much fun listening as we do recording.
You see… 2013 matches the calendar year of 1985. So we thought it would be fun, week by week, to review every movie as it was released in 1985!
Below is our complete podcast schedule for the entire year. We will link the podcast to it’s proper week as soon as they post. Hope this list of flicks will get you excited. Feel free to watch as many of these movies as you choose. That way you can leave your comments and thoughts! We want to know what you think too!
Special note: A few movies are subject to change, since some are going to be tough to find. We’re watching these movies a bunch of various ways. From renting them from Netflix, streaming, Amazon, buying DVDs and VHS tapes off of ebay, etc.

Wow, guys! You really have your work cut out for you! I’ll listen when I can – 1985 was such a fun year for me – I bet you all were in diapers! 🙂 Anyway, keep up the great work – you are terrific!
Actually, I don’t think any of us were in Diapers. I turned 9 this year, Scott turned 10, and Jesse turned 5. I can’t speak for Jesse, but I know both myself and Scott were already avid film fans at this point, going to the movie theater any chance we got!
What happened to the rest of the 1985 podcasts? You stopped in May.
For a variety of reasons — the cost to acquire the films, the lack of free time, the fact that the ratings could be called “low” at best — we called it quits after 20 episodes. We took a different approach for awhile, discussing current movies and news, but those ratings were even worse.
For the record. The low rating will never be a reason for me to stop spmethibg fun.
