Entertainment Weekly has debuted the teaser poster for A GOOD DAY TO DIE HARD, the fifth film in the DIE HARD series.
The new film will take place in Russia, hence tagline prominently featured on the poster, “Yippe Ki-Yay, Mother Russia.” That’s bound to make your eyes roll, but whether it’s in a good way or a bad way is up to the individual. It’s an action film. Puns are a thing.
John McClaine will find himself once again battling terrorists and after this many times, you have to think, “You know, John. Maybe it’s you.” The twist this time is that McClaine will somehow come face-to-face with his estranged son (Jai Courtney – JACK REACHER, SPARTACUS: VENGEANCE) and the two must fend off the terrorists together. The new film is directed by John Moore (MAX PAYNE, 2006’s THE OMEN).
We also get a brand spankin’ new trailer, which shows off even more footage of stuff blowing up. You can check that out below.
A GOOD DAY TO DIE HARD will be released on Feb. 14, 2013. This means that the new film will be counter-programming for those of us who believe nothing says “romance” like a rocket launcher destroying historical monuments.
Cannot wait to hear what fellow film geek, Austin Kennedy thinks of this one.
